About the General Grant Tree

The general grant tree, named in honour of Ulysses S. Grant who was the 18th President of the United States is of the type giant sequoia and is located in the Kings Canyon National park in Calafornia, USA.

It is believed to be over 1600 years old and has a height of over 260 feet and a base diameter of around 29 feet. It is a significant tourist attraction – evidenced by the picture here where the woman in the photo is posing to have here picture taken with a very famous landmark.
