Twins on the broads – 1959

A photo of two women, obviously twins, standing in a small motorboat having their photo taken. On the slide carrier a small sticky label says, ‘Broads 59’, from which I have the location and date.

The ladies are obviously twins and I notice that they are wearing very similar dresses, but that their glasses, which are also very similar, are coloured red for the lady on the left, and blue for the lady on the right. One wonders if this was done so others could tell them apart?
