A pair of women pose for the camera sitting on an armchair in their, very typically 1970s, home. There are several things that interest me about this picture. For a start I noticed the mains adapter that the lamp is plugged into - this converts the round pin 5 amp plug in the lamp to the 13 amp square pin socket on the wall. Many houses used to have a separate 5 amp circuit for lights which had round pin sockets on (houses still have a lighting circuit, but there a no sockets on that circuit now).
I also noticed the bowl set into the small table. I wonder if that is a baby feeder - made so it wouldn't topple?
The wood panelling on the wall is very 1970s - we had it in our lounge at home when I was a teenager.
