An interior shot of a couple in their home in Oct 1967. They are raising a glass to the photographer so it's likely there is a celebration of some kind going on. It's not Christmas, so most likely, because they are both celebrating, it's a wedding anniversary.
I find these sort of shots interesting because of the view inside a typical house of the 1960s. It's interesting to see the fireplace covered and an electric heater in its place; the style of armchairs and wallpaper which is very toned down from the garish designs that will follow in a few years time. The cushion on the chair seems to be hand embroidered - I wonder if that was a present from an ageing relative?
