Street Musician

When I first saw this image I thought is showed a person feeding birds on the street, but with a second, closer look it is actually a street musician setting up to play to the people walking by. It's possible to see the music set out on a little stand in front of him, and I can see a bow in his left hand.

As to location, I assume this is France somewhere, and the date is probably in the 1950s.
