Chepstow Castle pictured in the mid 1950s

A Picture of Chepstow Castle which was probably taken in the mid 1950s. The original colour slide had a very pronounced red cast on the image which I’ve managed to mostly remove during the scanning process.

In this picture there is a builders’ merchant in the field next to the castle – in the modern day picture this now seems to be a housing estate, or at least a number of houses.
