A City street scene from April 1990

This colour slide shows a street in a city in the UK which was taken in April 1990. I don’t know which city or town it was taken in, but the somewhat stretched view suggests the photo was taken with a wide angle lens.

It anyone recognises the city please let me know in the comments below and I’ll update the photo. The picture was taken at a time when there was obviously building work going on so it would be interesting to see how this picture differs from the current view.
