A picture of a typical house interior from, I believe, the 1960s.
The things I remember from my childhood which are visible in this picture are the pelmet which hides the curtain track, and the long curtains which cover the door as well as the window. The other typically 1960s item is of course the radio gram with it's record holder built above the radio tuner. I suspect the panel on the left hand side is a movable door which pushes across to the left to reveal the record player inside. We can't see the carpet in this picture, but I'm willing to guess it was very colourful and very loud.
