The sea breaking over the edge of a quay with a lighthouse in the distance. This is probably a recognisable location to someone, so if you know where it is please let me know in the comments.
Since this was taken on 120 format film I'm going to assume it was probably taken sometime in the 1950s or 1960s.
Update: David, in the comment below has identified the location as Whitby in North Yorkshire and the date as earlier than 1959 - thanks very much David!
Yep i can provide the location, it is Whitby in North Yorkshire and as of the date of my comment the image is currently in need of flipping as it is the wrong way round. It was taken from Henrietta Street looking down onto the East Pier with the end of the West Pier visible in the background.
In 1959 the East Pier was damaged during a storm and some of the concrete walls ontop of it were damaged but that doesnt appear to be the case on your image so it may date from just before then.
