Don’t hit me with that spade!

A (hopefully) comical picture of two people in a garden with one pretending to hit the other with a garden spade! I don’t know the date this picture was taken, but the other pictures which were in the same batch of negatives were around the early to mid 1960s and I would think this is the same.

It is interesting to see that the older of the two men is wearing what seems to be a Navy Officer’s hat – I wonder if he was in the Navy and wore the hat as a prop for this picture?
