A town on the border between Italy and Switzerland

This is a picture of a town somewhere close to the border between Italy and Switzerland although I don’t know which country it is in. To the left of the picture is a route sign, which says on it ‘A9 Milano’ and this road seems to pass along the border between those two countries.

The picture was taken on medium format colour negative film and I would guess the date is somewhere in the 1960s.
