This is a rather fine picture of a very simple subject - some wicker baskets sitting on a wall in the sun, in front of a statue which is set into the wall. It was taken in Lucern in Switzerland around 1962, and shows how good film images can look - in fact I'm not sure I could take such an image, which captured the particular look of the light, with a modern digital camera. I wonder if this picture was an image the photographer saw and decided to take, or if it was one he staged? That is a question which is how impossible to answer.
Although the general location is Lucern, I don't know the exact location within that town.
