A 1950s family picnic with Austin A30 car
A picture taken during a family picnic on the side of a road, probably in the 1950s. The family concerned have stopped their Austin A30 and set up a blanket & deckchairs, while one of their members has picked up their camera and taken this picture.
Update: This is apparently a Hillman Minx, not an Austin A30. I have to admit I’m not a car expert and I’ve now had two viewers point this out so I thought I should set the record clear. Thanks to the two viewers who spotted this!

Great evocative ’50s snap, though not looking like a very jolly picnic.
That’s a Hillman Minx, not an Austin A30, registered in London or Middlesex after 1953. Here’s a similar one more recently:
