The Matthias church in Budapest with bomb damage in front

A picture of a church with what appears to be bomb craters in front of it.

Originally I thought that this church was in Poland, but a very helpful viewer on Google Plus pointed out that this is, in fact, the Matthias Church in Budapest. The title says 'with bomb damage' and I admit I don't know that these holes are bomb craters - they are probably too small for that, but they don't look like holes dug by workmen in preparation for other work. There seem to be bits of debris laying about, which lead me to think they could be bomb damage. This picture could easily date from the 1950s, and it's possible there was still repair work being done at that time from WWII.

Anyway, other than the damage in the foreground of the picture, this also shows a church with cars parked in front and people walking in the square in front of the church. The slide is in a Wallace Heaton cardboard mount, but the actual film used in Kodak - possibly Ektachrome or Kodachrome.
