The world’s fair in New York 1964

This is a picture of a Mother and her Daughter sitting at the World’s Fair in New York in 1964.

Although I can’t be certain that this was actually taken at the World’s Fair because the giant globe is still in place, the condition of the slide, the fashions the people are wearing and the general look of the slide suggests it probably was.

The picture shows what I assume is a Mother and her Daughter, but of course the relationship may be different. Oddly enough, they don’t look very happy to be there so possibly the child was being difficult?
