This is a picture taken in about 1960 of the buildings on the waterfront in Singapore.
It was taken by a serving RAF officer who was stationed in RAF Seletar in the early 1960s and took a large number of pictures around the island and the RAF base. I'm not sure of the exact location of this picture but it shows a few large buildings and anyone who is familiar with the area at the time could probably give me an exact location. It is just possible to see, when zooming into the picture in Lightroom, that there are cars parked in front of the buildings so I assume this was a commercial area.
I'm not certain the colours in this picture are exactly right; I normally only alter the colours if the balance is obviously wrong, and this slide had a strong pink colour cast so I had to correct it.
Although the exact date of the picture is unknown, the other images in the series and the comments I've received suggest they were taken in the early 1960s.
