This picture is a complete mystery to me so I'm hoping someone can shed some light as to what it depicts.
It seems to be a statue (of a god?) lying on an alter or plinth. I have assumed this is in Singapore simply because the other slides in the series were taken in Singapore and so it seems likely, but I don't know for sure. It was taken in the mid 1960s on 127 medium format film and is part of a series of pictures which a keen photographer stationed at the RAF Seletar base took.
If anyone can give me some more information of where this is and what it represents, please use the comments form below.
Update: A very helpful comment from Dana below tells me that this is the Reclining Buddha, and almost certainly isn't in Singapore so I'll do some more research to try to find another image of it which pins down the location.
