Ullapool seashore in colour, taken in 1967
This slide shows the view along Ullapool seashore taken by a holiday maker in 1967. More details here.
Although it isn’t easy to see on the photo on Found-Film, when I looked at the picture in Lightroom just after scanning it, I could see that there is a Ford Zephyr and a Ford Anglia parked along the road in front of the white houses, and what seems to be a mini countryman parked further down the street. It’s surprising what details fine grain, colour slide film can show!
On the green huts behind the man with a jacket I can see the sign, “Bloomfields Fish Salesmen”, so I assume that fresh fish was sold there straight from the fishing boats when they returned to harbour.
I don’t know the actual film type used for this photo – the slide mount is a glass F & P mount but I assume the film is made by someone else.
