Morris men parade in public event

This seems to be a parade of some sort involving Morris Men.

It’s unfortunate that the slide has had a hard life and is very dirty – there are lots of marks in the sky, but it’s still possible to see that when this parade took place it was quite a sunny day. A lot of the people in the crown are wearing coats, so that suggests possibly this was a sunny spring day rather than summer and the date – suggested by another slide in the series is probably 1982.
