Inverness, the River Ness and the Castle in 1967
A picture of Inverness, including the castle, taken in 1967 on a holiday by an amateur photographer.
Although it is not possible to get the same view on Street View, the exact location is pretty easy to find and compares reasonably well to the 1967 view. The photographer has captured a nice image, with the River Ness curling away to the bridge, and the castle on the bank on the right hand side. It’s a shame that the photo has quite a bit of dirt on it and it could probably be improved with a clean, but with glass mounted slides the cleaning process takes quite a bit of time and I can’t, unfortunately, process all the pictures I post.
