Two women in Herne Bay - 27th July 1927

Considering this is mid summer these two women are wearing a lot of very heavy clothes for their stroll along the sea - I don't know if this indicates it was a chilly day or if this is simply a reflection of the fashion at the time. What can be said is that this is typically 1920s and I notice that both women are wearing hats which would be very unusual these days.
