This is a view of Raffles Place in Singapore taken in the early 1960s.
As this site explains, much of this location in Singapore has been transformed over the last few years, so this picture provides an interesting view of how the area used to look. Also interesting is the array of cars parked in the square at the front of the picture. I recognise the small grey car with a white roof which looks like a mini - I believe it was called the Riley Elf?
This picture, along with the others in the Singapore series shown below, was taken on 127 medium format colour slide film by an RAF officer stationed at RAF Seletar on the island.
