Racing motorbikes crossing the finish line

A picture of the finish line for a race between two motorbikes. This seems to be a normal road rather than a race track, and therefore I don’t know if the people looking over the hedge to watch the motorbikes are watching the race or annoyed that the race is taking place! It is difficult to date this picture accurately, but the cars on the opposite side of the hedge suggest  this is probably the early to mid-1970s.
