Cars parked at Raffles Place in Singapore in the early 1960s

Decade Taken

This is a picture of Raffles Place in Singapore and was taken sometime in the early 1960s.

Of the cars shown in the foreground, I recognise a Zepher and a Hillman model and possibly the bonnet of a Sunbeam. The building shown in the background is The Chartered Bank, which was demolished in 1981 as the whole of this area was transformed. There is a lot of information about the Raffles Place area on a site I found here.
