A colour slide of three boys who have successfully rolled up a large ball of snow. The slide itself is in a Titania slide mount and I'm not sure of the actual film emulsion, but it has faded quite a lot and is a bit grubby.
Although there is no date on this slide, the boy's clothes suggest the 1960s and therefore I assume this to be in the winter of 1962/63 when there were heavy snowfalls for long periods of time.
Regarding the location, there are not many clues in the picture which help. I believe the snow fell over much of the country in that winter so that doesn't limit it much, so I suspect this is a mystery which will never be solved.
