Lightning strike captured on film

This is a lightning strike captured on Kodachrome film in May 1967. I think capturing Lightning using a modern digital camera with multiple frames per second capability is still fairly hard, so to capture it on film is a bit special. I wonder if this was lucky or planned? The colour is a bit off because the film was very under exposed.
