A couple of people (I'm going to assume a Mother and Daughter?) have stopped at the side of the road to have a picnic. What can we infer from this picture? Well, the car has a roof rack which is packed with suitcases so they are probably going on holiday somewhere and have stopped for a picnic lunch. It's likely that the Father is probably taking the picture.
I'm not sure of the make of the car, although it looks a bit like one of those square Fiat models from the 1970s. Unfortunately, the picture is a bit out of focus, or more likely has a bit of camera shake so it's difficult to see too much detail.
The photo was taken on Boots Instamatic film which was introduced in the early 1960s but was probably most popular in the 1970s, so that fact and the look of the car and fashions would suggest this picture was taken in the 1970s. The location would be almost impossible to pin down to a precise area.
