Live and Learn Homemakers

This picture shows a public event somewhere in, I assume, the USA with a float having the words ‘Live and Learn Homemakers’ written on the side. Unfortunately the slide is very faded, almost to the point of being black and white (well, red and white).

To my mind, the car shown in the photo dates the picture to the 1950s.
