Bridgend House Hotel

When I first saw this picture I assumed it would be easy to find the location because of the sign on the house to the right of the picture. However, it has proven to be quite difficult. There are several hotels called 'Bridgend House' and I can't find a match when I look on google street view - mind you, this picture was taken in 1958 and things would have changed a lot in the intervening nearly 60 years. I've therefore not added a location to this picture - anyone who knows please let me know in the comments.
