A Young American couple, probably 1950s

A portrait of a young couple. There are some ghostly images to the right of the picture which suggests possibly that this picture was taken through glass, it was obviously also taken with flash (you can tell by the hash shadows) so possibly the flash has reflected from the back of the glass.

Something suggests that this couple is an American couple to me and, although there is no location or date on the mount I would think it is probably 1950s America.
