Interior of Vintage Renault car

This photo was taken just after (or just before) the photo I published yesterday and shows the same Renault car, but this time has a better view of the car’s interior.

It’s interesting to see inside the car and the objects this family were taking on their holiday, or possibly day out. The lady in the back is reading a newspaper, and the rest of the paper can be seen in the foot well of the seat. Also in the foot well is a round tin with the work, ‘CAKES’ printed on and inside the back window I can see a transistor radio.

The interior of the car looks very basic compared to a car made today and I well remember how hot the plastic seat covering used to feel when the car had been sitting in the sun for a while, and you returned to it!
