The interior of the room looks very typical of a 1950s sitting room, with a bakelite telephone on a shelf at the end of the sofa and patterned wall paper and curtains. The floor doesn’t have fitted carpet, but instead, has a rug or carpet which sits on the floor and the sofa itself is a very 1950s design, which looks as if it is leather and horse hair stuffing.
