This is a curated post on found-film which features photos from the archive which look as if they have probably been taken whilst the photographer was on holiday. The pictures date back to as far as 1922, but most of them are from the from the 1950s and 1960s
Unsurprisingly, there are a lot of photos on found-film which were probably taken on holiday. In today's smartphone world where everyone has a camera in their pocket all the time, photos can and are taken at every event anyone attends. In the days of film photography however, the only time most people had a camera with them was to record special events, and the annual holiday was for many people the highlight of the year.
There are a number of different locations shown in these pictures which probably cover the range of social classes in the UK. There are skying holidays in the mountains, holidays in the lakes of Switzerland and Italy and also beach holidays in the UK.
Holiday Photos
So this is the gallery of holiday pictures. As new photos are added to the archive which would fit into this subject, I'll add then best ones to this post.
