Medium Format photographer October 1964

A snapshot of a man taking a photograph with a Medium Format camera in October 1964. Behind him is atwo-tone Volkswagen Type 2 “split-screen” camper van, often called a VW Microbus or Kombi and there is another vehicle behind the van which is not easy to identify.

The man with the medium format camera seems to be taking a photo of the ground at the feet of the person taking this photo, but he may have been focusing or getting an exposure reading because that probably wouldn’t be an interesting photo.
