Girls with wild ponies in the early 1960s
A Kodachrome slide from the early 1950s showing a girl with a wild pony on some moorland in the UK, possibly Exmoor. I assume the girl was in the car in the background, and the family has stopped for an Ice Cream at the vendor which can just be made out on the right of the picture.
The car is interesting because it took me a while to find out what model it is, but I think it’s a Morris Cowley from the mid to late 1950s. I tried to confirm this with a registration lookup, but the plate, VWE 577 is no longer registered.
