Seaside portrait of two men
Many years ago I read a photography book which had some rules for taking pictures of people. One of the rules I remember was ‘never take pictures with the sun in the subject’s eyes’. That rule came back to me when I saw this picture, not because the sun is making the subjects squint, but because we can see the photographer’s shadow, which has almost become a third person in the picture!
This was takin on Agfacolor film, but I don’t know the location.
