Resting in the hedgerow

This is another slide in a set I bought in a slide box for £5 from eBay. It seems to be later than the original slides I scanned and I think it shows the main person from the series a bit later in life. Although it is difficult to always see likeness in people you don’t really know, there seems to be enough similarity for me to think it is the same man. In this picture he is smoking a pipe, and seems to be either examining something under a magnifying glass, or using the magnifying glass to try to focus the sun and burn a piece of paper! His four companions seem completely un-interested in what he is doing.
