A sound reflector ?

A had to think of a title for this page and I came up with ‘A sound reflector’ because this looks like the objects they have in science parks where you can whisper in a large dish and the sound travels a long way to be picked up be a similar arrangement. This obviously isn’t like that but I don’t know what it is.

Update: I’ve discovered, via a comment on G+, that this is the L’Imax 3D cinema in the  Futuroscope theme park in France.
