Meersburg old town mid 1970s

This is a photo of the town of Meersburg in Germany that was taken in the mid to late 1970s.

The building in the center of the photo appears to be the Obertor or Upper Gate of Meersburg’s old town. Key identifying features seem to be the clock tower above a road arch, a half-timbered upper section painted red and white with a steep tiled roof with a small bell opening and a street passing directly through the gate into the old town

That gate still stands today and is one of the main historic entrances to Meersburg.
