Place Saint-François in Lausanne, Switzerland late 1950s

This photo was taken in the late 1950s during a holiday in Switzerland and shows the Place Saint-Francois in the town of Lausanne. It’s an interesting photo, showing the tramlines and power cables, which are still in place in the modern town. The cars however would look very different along with the fashions!

The photo was taken from a tram or coach travelling down the street, as evidenced by the sticker on the windscreen in the bottom left-hand corner.
