Gloster Gladiator biplane

This is a photo of a Gloster Gladiator biplane that was taken at an exhibition or display sometime in the 1970s. The Gloster Gladiator was a single-seat fighter plane from the mid to late 1930s and was the last biplane fighter to serve with the RAF.
It’s powered by a Bristol Mercury radial (around 700 hp), which can be seen behind the prop.ย The placard in front of the plane confirms this, noting it as a single seat fighter of the 1930s with a Mercury engine.
