Port Ellen on the island of Islay

This is a view of Port Ellen on the island of Islay in Scotland that was probably taken in the mid 1970s.
I don’t normally post landscape photos because they don’t really show any social history but I posted this because on first glance the building in the distance looked as if it was fitted with Solar Panels on the roof space. On closer look it turns out it is a row of windows, but it just struck me how similar to a modern PV array they looked.
