Austin-Healey 3000

This is a photo of an Austin-Healey 3000, almost certainly a Mk III that was taken in July 1966. It features two-tone paint (Ivory over black) which was a popular Healey combination and the wire wheels, low cut doors, and the long bonnet are all classic Healey features.
The folded black hood and wraparound windscreen match the Mk III varient that was produced from 1964โ1967, which matches the July 1966 date printed on the slide mount. The engine fitted to this carย would have been a 3-litre straight-six producing around 150 bhp a proper fast road car in its day.
By 1966 the Healey was near the end of its life, and cars like this were already slightly aspirational rather than everyday transport.
