Mercedes-Benz 190 SL parked in Monaco July 1965

This Kodachrome slide shows the back of a Mercedes-Benz 190 SL parked on the street outside the Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco in the summer of 1965. Unfortunately, the photo has been slightly under exposed which means it’s quite difficult to see some of the details of the car, or make out much of the surrounding area. However, it’s still a nice picture of a classy 1960s sports car.
The car has a German registration plate, so the owner has presumably driven down to Monaco through France – reminds me of the film, ‘The day of the Jackal’.
