Dutch windmill from May 1976

A photo of a windmill somewhere in the Netherlands that was taken in May 1976. Not sure of the exact location of this mill but the visual clues suggest that itโs a thatched smock mill. The octagonal, thatched body and the white-painted sails are very characteristic of windmills in the Netherlands.
The long white beams are tail poles and supports used to turn the cap so the sails face into the wind.
