A rather defocussed photo of Piccadilly Circus in London that was taken in the 1960s. The photo features the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain which is often called Erosย  – this bronze fountain was erected in 1893 to commemorate the philanthropic works of Lord Shaftesbury.

Behind the fountain are the illuminated advertising signs that have long characterised Piccadilly Circus. Notable brands seen here include Gordonโ€™s Gin, Wrigleyโ€™s, Lemon Hart Rum, Max Factor, Bristol Cigarettes, and Martini
