Place Saint-François in Lausanne, Switzerland about 1959

This is a view of the Place Saint-Francois in Lausanne, Switzerland, taken in about 1959 from the inside of a coach or car travelling through the town. It follows on from the photo I published yesterday from the same location, but further down the street.

Notable are the trams which no longer operate in the town, having been fully dismantled by 1964, but the trolley buses, that have been in operation since the 1930s, are still running.
