Channel Airways Vickers Viking at Heathrow Airport early 1960s

This photo shows a Vickers Viking aircraft which was being operated at the time by Channel Airways sitting on the tarmac at Heathrow Airport.
The Viking was a British twin-engined airliner that was developed from the World War II wellington bomber. The plane has a registration mark of G-AJFB which tells us that it was build in 1946 for BEA, but by the time this photo was taken the plane had been sold to Channel Airways who operated flights to the Channel Islands.
Since Channel Airways used this type of plane between 1957 and 1964, that gives us an approximate date for the photo.
