Late 1970s Hong Kong

This is a photo of Hong Kong taken in the late 1970s.

The distinctive pagoda-style building in the centre is the former Wan Chai Market in Hong Kong. It stands on Queen’s Road East and was built in the 1930s and the original market building was preserved and incorporated into a modern residential development in the 2000s. The structure still exists today, but it’s surrounded by much taller glass towers.
