Grasmere in the Lake District mid 1980s

This is a photo of Grasmere in the Lake District, with Helm Crag visible in the background. Helm Crag is one of the most recognisable Lakeland fells, famous for its rock formations nicknamed โThe Lion and the Lambโ which can just be made out along the skyline. Other things in the photo which can be recognised are:
The white building on the left which is the Black Bull Hotel, a long-standing Grasmere pub and coaching inn.
The stone building on the right is part of the village centre and is very much unchanged today.
The red and white telephone box to the extreme left is a classic British K6 type, still common in villages during the 1980s.
The date of the photo is likely the mid 1980s because the white van in the centre has an ‘A’ registration which was 1983.
